Meet Sassy! She’s a perfect little 14 year old angel from Minnesota. Sassy was adopted by her human, Jane in August of 2006.
It all started when Jane went to a local rescue organization in Minnesota called Pet Pawsee and asked if they had any available cats for adoption.
Luckily for Jane, Sassy had just been put up for adoption.
“She had gone from place to place and needed a ‘furever’ home,” said Jane.
Sassy was absolutely delighted to stop moving around and join Jane in her home.
At Jane’s, Sassy has grown accustomed to a number of hobbies.
Her favorite activities include playing with rubber bands, chasing fuzzy worms, and sitting on Jane’s lap.
She also loves a good game of hide and seek!
Sassy isn’t too much of a foodie, but she definitely has her favorites.
She loves it when Jane serves her cat food with a tiny splash of milk. She also has a special craving for Friskies treats!
Sassy also craves attention. If there’s one thing she can’t stand, it’s when Jane reads from her Kindle
“To get my attention, she stands on my chest between the Kindle and me, so I can’t see the Kindle,” Jane shared.
Sassy is attached to Jane at the hip, taking every chance she can get for cuddles.
“I think there’s a magnet on my lap because she comes there whenever I sit down!”
Sassy also is very curious and adventurous, gravitating towards new people.
She never turns down an opportunity to make new friends. Whenever there’s a stranger in the home, she immediately wants to get to know them.
Now, at 14 years old, Sassy may not be as spry as she once was, but she doesn’t let that stop her from loving on everyone!
Sassy is such a loving and cuddly girl. Jane is so happy she went to Pet Pawsee that very special day in 2006.

Sassy is beautiful! She looks just like my last black cat Cleopatra. There’s something magical about black cats and they are super smart!!

Isn’t it amazing how much joy one little cat, weighing less than 10-12 pounds, can bring!! I think back to before we had our cat, Nala, and can’t imagine how we dealt with the boredom and all that quiet!! I honestly don’t know how I lived all those years without a faithful, loving, adorable fur ball like Nala!! You must feel the same! It sounds like Sassy lights up every room with her loving, cuddly personality!! Someone. (on a rescue program)!once said that rescue cats are the best cats cause they’re saying “thank you for rescuing me” in their own cute feline way a hundred times a day!!! I agree!!
