Meet Stache! He’s a sweet 4-year-old boy from New York. His mom, Cathy, tells us all about him in the story below!

Sweet Beginnings

My sister and I went to the shelter to adopt a cat to keep my other cat, Bootsie, company as he was walking around whining and seemed very bored.

I had had multiple cats in the past, but Bootsie t had been alone for a couple years now.

So when we went to the shelter, I was looking for an older cat, as Bootsie was 6 at the time and didn’t play that often.

I didn’t think a kitten was a good idea. I wanted to save an elderly cat, one that was calm.

But my sister noticed a little black and white tuxedo kitten, and pulled me over to him. It was love at first sight for all of us!

As soon as we picked him up, he latched on and did not want to let go! I hated leaving him there, but he needed to be neutered and given his microchip before I could bring him home.

It was awful waiting, but it was worth it!

Why did you name him “Stache”?

His name was pretty obvious the minute I saw him, as he has a perfect white mustache on a black and white tuxedo body!

He also has a heart shape on his chest.

What does Stache like to do?

He loves to put his head in upside down inside people’s shoes! I think he likes the stinky feet smell! It’s hysterical!

He likes to play fetch, except he’s not very good at bringing the toy back, and he absolutely loves to lay in the sun!

He also loves people anytime someone comes in the house he is all over them wanting attention. He’s a real people person.

What are Stache’s favorite foods and snacks?

He absolutely loves peanut butter, Greenies treats, which are good for his teeth, and canned wet food.

What’s Stache’s personality like?

He is quite the character and a real people person! he loves anybody and everybody, and always wants attention.

And when they leave, he walks around whining! He’s also very independent too.

When he wants attention, he lets you know, and if he doesn’t, he lets you know.

I absolutely love him, he’s adorable, gorgeous, loving and so affectionate! I can’t imagine my life without him!

Hi. I'm Stache's mom. He's okay with Stache. They tolerate each other, and play a little bit, but they are not best buddies, which saddens me. But they are both very happy, spoiled kitties !!
