Remember Morris, the critically injured liquor store cat with a heart of gold?
We’re happy to give you a heartwarming update and report that his injuries have healed beautifully!
Since his rescue, Morris has been thriving.
“We’re so proud of him!” said Sarah Richardson, rescue coordinator for Community Cats of Central Arkansas. “He was such a great sport throughout his treatment”
An impressive 85% of his hair and skin has regrown, a testament to the loving care he received.
Now all he needs is a forever family, but he hasn’t received a single adoption application.
“We would love to see Morris adopted,” said Sarah. “You’ll never meet a cat as sweet as Morris.”
Sarah and Morris’s vet team fell head over heals in love with him.
“He’s just a big ole baby,” said Sarah. “The vet team adores him,”
The vet team got to know Morris very well over his long recovery journey, spending plenty of time with him while he was hospitalized.
“They’ve fell in love with him,” said Sarah. “The vet and her team took turns carrying him around like a baby and rocking him to sleep.”
Morris loves being showered with love and attention.
His irresistible charm and bubbly personality will make someone special very happy!
Before being listed for adoption, he underwent one final post-recovery procedure to further improve his skin health.
Not only has this sweet cat made a fully recovery, but he’s been neutered and fully vetted.
“I probably have 150 pictures of that cat because everybody loves him,” said Sarah. “He’s famous for being the small town liquor store cat.”
Despite his local celebrity status, no one has shown interest in adopting him.
Sarah emphasizes the importance of his future family providing him with a safe, secure indoor environment.
“We don’t want him to go back outside,” said Sarah. “He suffered from such an aggressive injury. He’ll be much happier and safer indoors.”
After a harsh life outdoors, Morris deserves to live a life of leisure in a loving home.
Morris’s transformation wouldn’t have been possible without your kindness and generosity.
Your donations helped support him while he hospitalized for several months.
Morris’s rescuers and the vet team are tremendously grateful for everyone who played a part in his recovery.
As Morris eagerly waits to find the perfect match, we invite you to continue sharing his story.
Together, we can make sure that Morris’s future is filled with love and joy!
